We drove into the booming metropolis of Watertown, NY (population 26,000 or so) today. At a red light, we found ourselves behind a Honda CRV with a sage and nearly prescient sticker on its back window: Guns don't kill people. Drivers talking on cell phones do.
The light turned green, and the Honda slowly progressed through the intersection. The driver of the Honda was clearly a cautious and defensive driver, because, sure enough, he was cut off by a big honking green Expedition, who felt that her right to turn right on a red light superseded anyone else's right to proceed though their own green light.
And sure enough, Ms. I'm-more-important-than-you Expedition driver was yakking on a cell phone!!
Now I remember why I try to avoid Watertown on the weekend.
